Updated Mercedes G Class Launching Tomorrow
Mercedes Benz will launch the updated G Class in Indian market tomorrow under G63 AMG badge. It comes loaded with a whole lot of gizmos. The new G63 AMG gets a 5.5l V8 Twin- Super Charged Turbo engine mated to an updated seven speed 7-G Tronic Transmission that pumps out a mouth watering 544 bhp of power. The drive train is complemented by full time Four Wheel Drive with differential locks. Styling upgrades include a two-slat grille, a deeper front bumper with larger air ducts, red brake callipers and unique 20-inch wheels. The exhaust pipe of G63 is side mounted which adds to the styling ques. G63 gets Mercs latest COMAND System and other packs include hi-tech Distronic Plus radar controlled cruise control system, Blind Spot Assist and the parking aid Partktronic, which now incorporates a reversing camera. The standard ESP (electronic stability program) has also been revised and now includes Trailer Stability Assist and a hill hold function. Prices will be announced by Mercedes - Benz tomorrow.
