Diesel Engines for Mercedes A and B Class Coming Soon
Mercedes A and B class is the two important models for Mercedes in India.Mercedes has lost the second place to Audi in Luxury Market.Mercedes want to fight back with these volume models.Mercedes has already launched B class in India.But hasn’t got big volumes.Reason for it is the lack of diesel engine.B Class is available in petrol only.Mercedes is working on bringing the new diesel engines to India.But Mercedes hasn’t decided the engine yet.They are on the last stage.Engine will be confirmed soon.Then Mercedes will began to Assemble the engines here.
Current diesel engine of A and B Class has diesel particular filters which reduce the emissions of both the cars and make them compactable for the Euro V emission Norms.How ever they don’t work here.So the engineers are working on a new method to reduce the emissions and make it more clean.The test have been going for a while now.They had find a way by retuning the injection system.So we can expect the 107 BHP for the 200 CDI to make to India soon.Followed later by 220 CDI and 250 CDI.Future looks bright for Mercedes with these compact cars.
