Fiat Punto Abarth Localised Coming this Year
Fiat India has already announced they will launch the Punto Abarth this year.Fiat Punto Abarth is the performance variant of Punto.Abarth is the tuning division of Fiat just like AMG for Mercedes.Now Autocar India reports that Fiat will Locally assemble the Punto Abarth to keep the cost down.This will give Fiat huge advantage.Comparing to the rival Mini Cooper S arrives through CBU route.
Unlike the European versions Fiat Punto abarath is powered by a tuned up version of 1.4 L T-Jet petrol engine.which first saw in India on Linea.Fiat will squeeze more power from the engine.On the Punto Abarth this engine makes 165 BHP.This will give Punto Abarth amazing
performance numbers.
Fiat Punto is already a good handling hatch back.Fiat will first tune the chassis more stiffer.Then suspension components will be changed.Much more stiffer springs and sporty dampers will give the Punto more confidence and grip around corners.Fiat will add new anti roll bars for the Punto Abarth.Then brakes also get an update.Better and bigger will be used.
